Coaches Corner
Coaching qualifications as per 2005-2006 PCAHA Rule Book, Section B, rule 5 (a - f) and 6 (a - c):
Initiation teams (Hockey 1-4)
All coaches - Initiation Level & Speak Out
Safety Person - HCSP & Speak Out
Manager - Speak Out
"C" and H.C. non-carded (Female, Atom and above teams)
All coaches - Coaching Stream & Speak Out
Safety Person - HCSP & Speak Out
Manager - Speak Out
Atom Rep teams
All coaches - Coaches Stream; (Developmental 1 within 2 years) & Speak Out
Safety Person - HCSP & Speak Out
Manager - Speak Out
H.C. Carded teams (all "A" & "B" in PeeWee and above, all HC carded Female teams)
All coaches - Developmental 1 & Speak Out
Safety Person - HCSP & Speak Out
Manager - Speak Out
- Each team, regardless of division and level, MUST have at least one HCSP person.
- Each team must have at least one qualified Coach.
- ANYONE (goalie coaches, practice coaches, extra safety people, etc,) dealing directly with the players MUST have Speak Out.
- Proof of qualifications are required by December 1st of each season.
- Failure to provide proof of qualification will result in your team being declared ineligible for the playoffs.
