SEMI Hockey Summer Camp

 

High-tempo & dynamic instructional Ice Sessions with Ron Davidson, former Canadian Olympian and author of Play Better Hockey.  Ron is the feature contributor to Hockey Night in Canada’s Think Hockey Series and is considered one of the top skill instructors in Canada.  Ron Davidson will lead the session from August 21-25.

Performance Prep Camp (August 21-25) 
Designed for the player that is preparing for the rep hockey season.  The two intense daily ice sessions will focus on high end skill instruction, individual and team tactics, competitive mini-games and conditioning – the ultimate preparation to ensure for a great start to the season! Each day, players will participate in a 1-hour ice session, followed by a 45 minute off-ice training session, followed by a second 1-hour ice session. The second ice time will focus on instructional scrimmage for the Bantam/Midget group and game strategy and mini games for the Atom and PeeWee groups.  Total: 10-hours of dynamic on-ice instruction, plus 5 off ice training sessions, all designed to take your game to the next level.
Shoot & Score Camp (August 21-23) NEW for 2017
This three day camp will focus on the critical skills and techniques needed to put the puck in the net.  As the most sought after skill in the game, regardless of playing position, players will be taught how to get to the best areas to score and when, individual shooting skills, rebounds, and tip-ins.  Sign up for this camp if you want to improve your accuracy and shooting percentage.
Skill Development Camps (August 28-September 1)
This is an excellent opportunity to hone your individual skills and raise your game by improving all areas of hockey skills.  Camp runs for 5 days.
Goalie Instruction Program (August 21-25 Atom/PeeWee; August 28-September 1 Bantam/Midget)
SEMI Hockey’s goalie instructors will help prepare you for the upcoming season.  Registrants in these sessions will also have first opportunity to participate in the other camps for free.  Limited spaces – register early.
Pre-Season Scrimmages (August 28-31)
Referee controlled fast paced scrimmages; a great fun way to prep for the season.
Body Contact Prep Camp (August 24-25)
Gain confidence playing in a contact environment.  This 2-day camp will allow players to learn how to take contact and how to use their body to regain possession of the puck.  Important safety skills will be covered in order to avoid injury and penalties.  Great prep for the more physical play associated with rep level hockey.
Initiation Hockey Skills (August 21-25)
This is a fun, high energy, skill focused session that will improve a young players skating, puck skills and shooting.  Session runs for 5 days, 1 hour each day.
